NEXT STEPS: At this time most of your preliminary questions should be answered. Below are the requirements IN ORDER so that you might start your new and exciting new career.
COMMITMENT REQUIREMENT:
The very first step to become a field operative for Nosey P. I.
allows us to evaluate your desire to work and also allows us to
gain knowledge about your ability to adapt quickly to a
situation. Each field operative will be given 20 Nosey P. I.
business cards and 20 brochures as well as a list of 20 local
attorneys. After familiarizing yourself with our services, you
will go to each attorney unannounced with the objective of
leaving one business card and one brochure while picking up one
business card from each attorney. Direct contact with the
attorney is not necessary. However, a personal delivery of the
business cards and the brochure to the attorney's office is
required. As we will have a master list of all contacted
attorneys we will have the ability to follow-up on your
performance. Furthermore, as we already work with several
local attorneys your performance may be evaluated by the
attorney himself/herself. For this reason it is imperative that
you treat each contact professionally. You should treat each
attorney as if it is the first time they have ever heard of
Nosey P. I. and you should be prepared to answer questions.
You should also maintain the illusion that you have done this
many times before. Act as if this is not your first day, but
rather you just stopped in because you would like and
appreciate the opportunity to serve them. Answer any questions
that the attorney might present to you the best way that you
can. If you do not know the answer, explain that you will have
to get the answer and call him/her back. Keep a written log of
each contact and what transpired. This log should include day
and time of contact as well as a brief description of what
happened. Give as many details about the office and
surroundings as possible. Find out the name of the person you
talked to and any other pertinent information. This log should
be turned in to Nosey P. I. This will allow us to find
out if you were successful in your assignment.
If you are ready to begin
email me at the link below. Put"Yes I am
ready to pick up my
packet" as the subject and we will send
instructions on where you can pick up
your packet containing the 20 business cards and the
brochures.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW:
After delivering all 20 of your cards and brochures and
completing your log, the second step to become a field
operative will be a personal interview. You will meet with John Ivey
(owner of Nosey P. I.) for this interview. The log from your
assignment will be given to him at this time. The
interview will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time and
usually consists of dinner or lunch. We pick up the tab.
RIDE ALONG:
The third step to become a field operative is a
ride along. While private investigation can certainly provide
moments of adrenalin rushes, exciting times and fun stories to
tell, it also can be very mundane and boring. Close attention
to detail is sometimes hard to focus on while trying not to
fall asleep or even worse sitting for hours without a bathroom
break. In order to give you an opportunity without a
commitment to Nosey P. I. we have developed a ride along
program that has proven to be very successful. We allow you
to ride along with one of our seasoned field investigators at no
charge so that you might experience first hand what can happen
on a case. The ride along is no less than 3 hours and no more
than 8 hours. During this time there is no compensation by
Nosey P. I. and as stated no commitment on your part. This
ride along will be scheduled at you convenience as
cases permit. Upon completion of ride along and approval by
Nosey P. I. you will be given your contract, issued an ID
badge, become registered as field operative and paid as
outlined above. Some choose to work part-time for Nosey P.I.
as a registered field operative only and do not become
certified. They have a great way to supplement their main
income with an exciting part-time position. However, in order
to be considered for full-time work you must become certified.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
If you choose to become certified you can begin studying Part
"A" while waiting to schedule your ride along. However, to beTESTED
for "LEVEL 1 FIELD OPERATIVE CERTIFICATION", you must
have fulfilled all commitment requirements,
personal interveiw and your ride along. You will receive a
link by email were you will find the first study assignment.
The instructions there will help you prepare for the
certification test. Upon successful completion and receiving a
passing score on the test, you will receive your
CERTIFICATE as a CERTIFIED LEVEL 1 FIELD OPERATIVE and if
you choose you can continue on to certification for level 2.
IT'S THAT SIMPLE:
If you are willing to work hard then we are willing to train
you at no cost. You can make a lot of money in private
investigations. You will also find it very rewarding the each
time someone says, "THANK YOU". This thank you may be for any
number of reasons, i.e., helping them find their lost or
run-away child, or perhaps it will be a custody battle in which
you helped keep the children from an abusive situation, or
maybe just helping find a dead beat parent that owes back child
support that the children need just to have shoes. Perhaps you
will hear it from an insurance company when you find out
that 'the guy' really is disabled and the claim is justified.
All of these have happened to me and they can happen to you.
